Discover the beauty of the imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete with "Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers." This updated edition of Leonard Koren's classic work beautifully introduces the concept of wabi-sabi, a cornerstone of traditional Japanese aesthetics, to a Western audience. Originally trained as an architect, author Leonard Koren brings a unique perspective to design and aesthetics, evident in his creation of the avant-garde WET magazine and his subsequent contemplative books. Residing between America and Japan, Koren's work delves into subjects that are philosophically rich and visually engaging. Key Features: * Explores the concept of wabi-sabi, the beauty of imperfection. * Updated edition of a foundational text on Japanese aesthetics. * Integrates text and images for an immersive reading experience. * Authored by Leonard Koren, a noted designer and aesthetician.
