The Flesh chair was originally designed to furnish architect Anne Holtrop's Bahrain pavilion at the 2015 World Expo in Milan. The Table is the latest addition to the Alu family, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor dining. Like all Muller Van Severen furniture, the Alu table combines rigorous, strict lines with bright, bold color combinations. The Natural aluminium Legs are combined with colored, high-gloss aluminum Trays in a rich palette of colors. Le Duo Muller Van Severen sees color as a material. Fien Muller explains: The choice of colors was difficult. For the first version we used Polythene, a material produced in a limited number of colors. This new version is powder-coated, which meant we could choose from an infinite number of colors.'' The Alu Flesh chair and Alu Table are available in a wide range of shades. This multiplicity of colors makes the Alu collection a lot of fun. You can actually create a landscape of colors. The colors of the chairs and tables really determine the atmosphere of the space. You can create a very playful or rather serious environment.
