Corrosion resistance that runs right through, not just on the surface: each individual steel wire in this 1mm rope is galvanised with its own zinc coating before the strands are twisted together, so the protection is not lost even if the outer surface gets scuffed or worn in use. Flexible multi-wire, multi-strand build in a 1mm (0.039in) diameter: strong enough for a steel-cored cable yet supple enough to run smoothly around pulleys, cleats, eyebolts and other fixing points, and to be bent or looped by hand when you terminate the ends. A lighter 1mm gauge that is easy to handle for everyday jobs: trellising and supporting climbing plants and trained fruit trees, tensioning a washing line that will not sag or rust, and running a taut infill wire through balustrade or decking uprights. Supplied as a continuous 3m length cut to order from the reel, so you get exactly the amount of 1mm cable this job needs rather than being tied to a fixed pre-cut coil; bind or tape the cut ends before you start working with it to stop the wires unravelling. Manufactured to established European wire rope standards, including DIN 3052, DIN 3053, DIN 3055, DIN 3060 and DIN 3066, and compatible with standard wire rope grips, clamps, thimbles, swaged ferrules and crimped sleeves for terminating the ends.
