HDMI Modulator – HDMI over Coaxial Cable ExtenderWhat does the unit do? Simply put, this unit allows you to send 1 HDMI signal (sky box for example) through your Aerial/Coaxial cable network in Full HD quality. It combines this signal with your digital TV signal allowing you to send both a full HD feed and your digital Freeview channels down a single length of coaxial cable. This is perfect for installs where coaxial cable is already in the walls and when running further lengths of cable is not an option. How do I install this? 1. Connect your HD input device (sky box for example) to the HDMI modulator via a HDMI cable. 2. Connect your Aerial to the coaxial input on the modulator3. Run a coaxial cable from the output on the modulator and run this into the input of your aerial splitter / distribution amplifier (we recommend a powered splitter with DC pass through if you require IR control).4. You can now run a cable from each output on your distribution amplifier to the aerial in on each of your TV’s. 5. Once everything is connected and powered up, you need to re-tune your TV (digital tuner for freeview). This will integrate the HD device into your freeview channel list (which can be changed using the dials on the modulator). For example, if you set the modulator to channel 25, your HD device (sky for example) will play on channel 25 and has now been integrated into your Digital TV feed. If you require IR control, please get in touch for more details.Things to know? The aerial splitter / distribution amplifier you have should be a powered unit. Passive (or none powered) units may hinder the quality of the signal received on each TV. IR control? We can sell a package that will allow your HD device to be controlled from each TV location. If you are using a Sky box as your HD device and you are currently using magic eyes, they will continue to work as normal allowing you to control the box as if it was in every room. If you do not have Sky and wish to control this via IR.
