Tate & Lyle Golden Fairtrade Granulated Sugar 1Kg

GOLDEN CRYSTALS WITH A GENTLE CRUNCH AND SUBTLE CARAMEL: Unrefined cane sugar in a granulated crystal, light bodied and mellow, with a shy aroma and a soft caramel taste that plain sugar does not have. The crystals are coarser than caster, so they hold their crunch when sprinkled over a tart or a pancake and still dissolve cleanly into batters, tea and coffee. Made from pure cane and nothing else, with the cane's own molasses left in for colour and flavour. Sweetness with character. FOR EVERYDAY SWEETENING AND BAKING WITH DEPTH: This is the jar you keep by the kettle and the bag you reach for when a cake, cookie or pastry could do with a little more flavour. It sweetens tea and coffee, sprinkles over fruit tarts, pancakes and crumbles for a glinting finish, and stands in for plain granulated in most recipes. The texture holds up in batters while still blending smoothly. A richer flavour profile with no change to your method or your measurements. THE 1KG BAG FOR THE EVERYDAY SUGAR SHELF: One kilo is the everyday size: enough to sweeten a month of tea and coffee and still bake a couple of cakes, without committing shelf space to a catering pack. Decant it into a jar by the kettle or fold the bag over and store it cool and dry, and the crystals stay loose and free running. Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and kosher diets. A simple swap for the plain granulated in your cupboard, with a golden tone and a little more flavour. GOOD WITH FRUIT, PASTRY, OATS AND COFFEE: Sprinkle it over orchard fruit tarts, apple crumble, plum cake and feather light pancakes, stir it into porridge and granola, or use it to sweeten coffee, chai and mulled drinks where the caramel note works with the spice. It creams with butter for cookies and traybakes, crusts the top of a lemon loaf, and pairs happily with golden syrup, treacle, ginger and cinnamon. It also finishes a rhubarb roast nicely. Flavour and crunch in the same spoonful. UNREFINED CANE SUGAR, REFINED BY EXPERIENCE: Made from the natural juice of the sugar cane plant, with the cane molasses that gives these sugars their richness and depth left in. Tate & Lyle Sugars first produced cane sugar at its London refinery in 1878, pioneered the sugar cube, and works from the Thames Refinery in Silvertown to this day. A Royal Warrant holder with over 140 years of refining experience, managing safety, quality and environmental care across the supply chain.
