CPE Bach: Organ Works (2009)

Thomas Trotter's latest release of C.P.E. Bach's organ works is a delightful romp through the brilliance of one of the Baroque period's unsung heroes. Trotter's fingers dance across the keys with a playful exuberance, breathing new life into these classical compositions. From the hauntingly captivating "Sonata in D minor" to the frenetic energy of "Prelude and Fugue in C major," Trotter showcases his technical prowess and deep understanding of the music. Each track is a complex tapestry of emotions, with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The album's production is crisp and immaculate, with every note ringing clear and true. The organ's rich, resonant tones fill the room, enveloping you in a warm embrace of sound. It's the kind of music that demands to be listened to in a grand cathedral, with the acoustics amplifying every nuance and subtlety. C.P.E. Bach may not be a household name like his father, but Trotter's masterful interpretation of his works proves that he deserves just as much recognition.
